Book Synopsis

Drew was raised in a funeral home by unloving
grandparents and a mother too young to raise
herself. When Drew takes a shortcut home one
day, she meets and befriends Erma, a homeless
woman, who teaches Drew more about love and
life than anyone she'd ever met. As Drew grows
up, Erma's lessons help her get through a life
filled with lies, love, and the occassional dead
body. For a young girl who grew up living with
death, learning how to live with life proves to be
harder than she imagined. Drew realizes,
almost too late, that in life, there is Nothing
Fair About It.
